Training

When Tuesday and Thursday 6.00pm to 8.00pm at The Welfare Ground unless otherwise advised. First XI squad trains on Wednesday at The Welfare Ground.

Routine Acknowledge Coach, Do a lap, Stretch, Advise Coach you are ready to work in the nets, Warm up until Coach instructs otherwise.

Attire At training you must wear a club shirt or white shirt and either; blue shorts or track suit pants. Club gear is available.

Selection

Registering You must be registered by the league before playing for the club. A committee member will take care of registering you.

Clearance If you have played for another club recently in an affiliated league then you need to be cleared by them. A committee member will assist you with this.

Selection Committee This is a group of selectors that consists of the chairman of selections, cricket manager, team captains and the head coach.

Selection Policy There are many factors that go into selecting a side that includes game performance, training, availability, being a financial member, team balance and being a team player etc.

Availability If you are not available to play for any reason then contact your captain or chairman of selectors ASAP.

Announcing the sides Read out by the Chairman of Selectors in the club rooms on the Thursday 8.00pm prior to the game being played. The following day sides will be listed on the website and club notice board.

Club playing number Every player is ranked in the club by the other in which they started playing for the club. You will receive a player number that is a permanent acknowledgement of how many players have played before you at the club. The number is in the form of a badge and is proudly worn on your match shirt. You can get more numbers for a small donation to the club. Coming soon...

Match Day

Times The game starts times vary depending on which team you are playing. Your captain will tell you what time you are expected to be at the ground. There are many things that need to be done before and after the actual game playing time. Expect to stay a bit longer outside these playing times.                                                                    1st Team 12.30 - 20.00 . 2nd Team 13.00 - 20.00. Twenty/20 17.00 - 20.30.

Fees Your game fees are given to a committee member as soon as possible. Often the committee will offer a pay up front system where you can pay your whole seasons game fees in one go at a reduced rate.

Attire You must wear cricket whites, long trousers and a collared shirt. The club must officially endorse the only advertising. Hats must be club hats. Appropriate footwear is required and must be mostly white. If playing on turf then spikes are advisable.

Afternoon Tea If your game is declared home or away game then each played is obliged to pay £2.00 towards teas and £1.00 towards the scorer. As the home club we are hosts to the other team. A good example is to be helpful to the tea ladies and offer help when needed during teas.

Player code of conduct There is a player's code of conduct that must be adhered to. This is available on request from the selection committee. 

Fees

South Hetton Cricket Club does not wish anyone to be at a disadvantage due to personal finances. If you have trouble with any of the fees please discuss immediately with the club treasurer or a committee member. 

Membership fees - £30 for the season

Match day fees - £2.00 towards teas. £1.00 towards the scorer. 

If fees are not paid by 25th April 2009 and a deal is not done then selection preference will go to financial members.

The club has ETPOS facilities available.
